Brain Rotters

To get this outta the way—yes, the treasonous, tangerine hued traitor has been indicted for the second time in the last three months. This time it wasn’t for cooking his biz books to hide his porn star payoff. Nope, this time the charges include willful retention and criminal mishandling of national defense information, obstruction of justice and conspiracy.

I only mention it but, of the blizzard of docs found at ex-president grifter’s shitty Florida golf motel for morons, were:

  • 3 documents marked confidential
  • 17 documents marked secret
  • 7 documents marked top secret
AND
  • 43 empty folders with classified banners
  • 28 empty folders labelled "Return to staff secretary/military aide

Why were the folders empty? Because he, undoubtedly, already sold the motherfucking contents!

Will the MAGAt Maker ever see the inside of a jail cell? //shrugs// As good as the case is, I’d be surprised. Why? He’s a rich white man. That breed tends to skate.

In my efforts to avoid being further consumed by the news and the Republi/Facist Party’s ridiculous theatrics, I’m rereading John Scalzi’s The Human Division – the fifth book in the Old Man’s War series.

The people of Earth now know that the human Colonial Union has kept them ignorant of the dangerous universe around them. For generations the CU had defended humanity against hostile aliens, deliberately keeping Earth an ignorant backwater and a source of military recruits. Now the CU's secrets are known to all. Other alien races have come on the scene and formed a new alliance—an alliance against the Colonial Union. And they've invited the people of Earth to join them. For a shaken and betrayed Earth, the choice isn't obvious or easy.
I’m also distracting myself with an utterly time wasting black hole — Ask Aubry. What is Ask Aubry? On the bird app her bio says she’s the Curator of Nice Guys™ WTFs & Trash Takes and a Snark Peddler of Petty.

Amongst other things, she posts some of the weirder posts from the Reddit page Am I the Asshole.

There’s the tale of the woman whose ex-husband (of six months) and girlfriend (with whom he was having an affair while married to ex) demanded ex-wife care for the baby they were expecting in a few months. Neither wanted to pause their careers to stay home with the infant. Ex-wife said no, OF COURSE, and colossal shit-fits (from the expecting couple) ensued.

Another story was about about a 31 year old dude who’d been living with his adoptive aunt’s family for 10 years—since the aunt’s daughter was 12. When his cousin (now 21) came home from college (and aunt and uncle were away on vacation) he hit on her. Yup, Skeevy Schmuck came on to the young woman who’d been raised to think of him as a brother.

The comments are the best. It’s all rather As-the-World-Turns-ish. The downside? Rarely do we get to read how things turn out. Did the ex-wife find peace and calm? Did Mister Skeezoid get kicked out of Aunty’s house? Who knows.

Following Ask Aubry means that I’m now, AGAIN, spending too much time on MusKKK’s site. BTW, any amount of time is too damn much.

Ya know, at least I don’t watch a lot of teevee (just at the weekend with Jen and Oni). Maybe my brain isn't thoroughly rotted.
