Orange Monday

On this grey, first Monday after the Daylight Savings Time sleep disruption, I have oranges. Orange trikes in snow, oranges on the kitchen counter, an orange sunrise from last summer and orange poems.

 Happy Orange Monday!

The Orange Bears -- Kenneth Patchen

I remember you would put daisies
On the windowsill at night and in
The morning they'd be so covered with soot
You couldn't tell what they were anymore.

A hell of a fat chance my orange bears had!

More at the links -- go, go!

Now see the beautiful sunset ore the ocean blue
Fiery colors due abound of poems there are a few
I wish that I could write one, about that perfect hue
But nothing rhymes with Orange

The rest of this divertimento piccolo at the link.

The Love of an Orange -- Dahlia Ravikovitch
An orange did love
The man who ate it.
A feast for the eyes
Is a fine repast;
Its heart held fast
His greedy gaze.

A citron scolds at the link.
