On the Road

...with Jen and Oni. They've been on vaca this week, way out west – western Massachusetts that is. One of these days we'll all be able to take holidays farther afield. Like maybe even in another state! Imagine that. 

I haven't seen my Pennsylvania dwelling father in almost a year now. Part of that's due to my stupid surgery habit but mostly Plague45's holding the bag.

I just checked the NY Times COVID Tracking Map (as I do near daily) and was surprised to see how badly other countries are now doing. Israel and the Czech Republic fer instance. Granted, most got this shit under control and are now in the midst of their second wave. Here in Disease Land, we're very much still in the first, 45 inflated, round of hell.

I look at the per capita figures more than anything else. While Massachusetts (59 cases per 100,00) is doing better than Florida (79 cases per 100,00) and Texas (112 cases per 100,00) that ain't saying much. I really don't get it. How many people need to die or become supremely banjaxed before our Republican governor shuts the state down again?

The treasonous, terrorist inspiring, superspreader frail in the White House won't say when or if he's tested negative for COVID so, it only makes sense, he's still got it. If he'd tested negative, he'd be tweeting the news 20 times per hour. And his buttboy, Dense Pence, undoubtedly has it too. They won't stand down, take the time needed to heal and get plague-free because that would mean Pelosi would become the acting Prez. Both of those dimwitted weasel boys are askeered of intelligent, strong women. They don't give a good goddamn about you, me or this country. It's all about power and protecting their itty bitty, useless schmeckies.
