What happens when you no longer doomscroll? Calm – that’s what happens.
I animal scroll now. I’m resisting the impulse to respond to the the easily frightened and fact averse Democrats-are-coming-for-your-guns, Kamala’s-a-cop, Biden’s-a-Socialist types. You wanna be in a constant state of panic? Fine, you do you. Me? Imma stick to facts. Why? I just don’t have the bandwidth for gullible rubes, outrageous fabulators and the purveyors of easily disproven lies.
Stress is one of the big triggers for my seizures. These convulsions set my recovery way the fuck back. I’ve now had eight of these assholes since August so, yeah, I’m avoiding the tension sparks as much as humanly possible.
This snowy morning I’ve read about a sheep who’s little lamb was stillborn. The mum to be was devastated and, reportedly, cried all night, mourning her loss. Another prego sheep gave birth to twins. She gave one of her babes to the grieving mother. Yeah, I’m reading this at 6AM, crying into my coffee, wondering why humans can’t be, across the boards, so good. (sorry, no link. I scrolled on by and, now, can’t find the story)
Then there’s Maya the rescued jaguar and Rockette the raccoon.
Animal scrolling is a MUCH better way to spend my time.
Meanwhile, here – have some pics from yesterday’s bodacious snowstorm and this morning’s sunrise on ice. I would’ve gotten better pics of the fat flakes but I was, pretty much, bedridden yesterday. Just FYI, each of these motherfucking seizures is harder to come back from than the one before.
WHEEEEEEE!

The contrast of the snow and sea and the patterns of your quilt and carpet are lovely. My 85 yr old MIL came over to watch the Super Bowl and spend the night. She alternately cheered for the underdogs with words like "oh dear, that young man is trying so hard". I am grateful that she is easy and kind.
ReplyDeleteI hope Dr. P finds a cocktail that will soothe the seizure beast. Stop the neuron storms! You are stronger than kryptonite!
Thank you so much Pam!
DeleteI believe I lover your MIL :-)
