There are the obvious, known tools of the ruling classes, such as:
Phyllis Schlafly, the original queen bee of equality-for-me-but-not-for-thee, anti-feminist crusader.
“By getting married, the woman has consented to sex, and I don't think you can call it rape."Oh. Rilly? Perhaps someone ought to ‘splain to Attorney Schlafly that domestic violence and, oh yeah that includes spousal rape, is illegal in all 50 of these United States.
Phyl’s got a Master’s in Government from Harvard University and a J.D. from Washington University Law School. You’d think she’d know the law wouldn’t ya?
There's everyone’s fav idiot, harridan, word salad shooter Sarah Palin who lays claim to the title feminist. Interesting, n'est-ce pas, given that while mayor of Wasila, Alaska she defied a bill from then-Gov. Tony Knowles that said local law enforcements should foot the bill for sexual assault evidence collection kit, AKA rape kits — she deemed them “too much of a financial drain on the city government.” The kits cost between $300 and $1200 which meant that:
A) victims of a crime were put in the position of having to pay for the investigation of the crime(s) committed against themselves.
B) poor women were shit outta luck.Yeah, that sounds fair....if you’re a complete fuckwadded, asshole!
I think Palin’s got the words feminist and shill confused. Understandable given her shallow grasp of the English language.
Have you heard of the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute?
At the Institute, we believe in the power and potential of conservative women. Strong women leaders like Clare Boothe Luce, Margaret Thatcher, and Sarah Palin have inspired millions and impacted the world for the better.Gee, which of these three doesn’t belong? I strongly suspect that both Boothe Luce and Thatcher would see Palin for just what she is — a dimwitted, horror show grifterella. In any case, the institute is ALL about keeping the wrong sort of folk (that’s us, darlings) out of positions of power — including power over our very own corporeal beings.
Then we have the thoroughly retrograde Susan Patton, AKA The Princeton Mom. She’s all over TV, telling us awful wifey-poos how to be better, more doormat-y wifey-poos. She also advocates that young women should spend 75% of their college career focused on finding a husband — you know, ya gotta get you one of them awesome MRS degrees instead of those useless old BSs or BAs.
Then there’s her far short of charming blame-the-girl-cause-the-boy-couldn’t-POSSIBLY-bear-any-responsibility shtick:
...Patton has complained that the rape that occurs between acquaintances — commonly referred to as “date rape” — should be called “mistake sex” to avoid diminishing “the true horror of rape.”Yup. After being raped by someone we knew and probably trusted, us girls should just say “oopsie, my bad!” and move on. Never speak of it again and all that.
What a colossally clueless twat.
By the by, Patton is divorced and refuses to talk about her big D other than to sniff at her ex’s less than Ivy alma mater.
Also on the hit parade of women who seem to want, more than anything, to thin the competition herd (you know, there’s only so much media exposure, wing nut welfare and rich, right wing marks out there) is the impressively resumed Charlotte Hays who is the director of cultural programs of the grossly offensive, on the take Independent Women's Forum (IWF).
According to previously undisclosed tax documents acquired by the American Independent, Limbaugh cut a check in 2007 to the IWF for just over $273,000.Yup, they’re Rush’s pet females.
Ms. Hays feels that the obscene Hobby Lobby ruling is "undoubtedly good news". She also believes that women shouldn’t be astronauts and that rape on college campus’ is all a big fuss over very little — a tempest in a teapot. Hysteria. Ms. Hays referred to the reaction to George Wills’ offensive column, claiming that campus rape survivors have a "privileged status," as "dangerous hysteria."
Hysteria
From the Greek word hysteria, meaning "womb."
Originally "hysteria" designated a link between certain nervous disorders and diseases of the female sexual and reproductive organs. It was thought that there was a direct connection between these physical pathologies localized in the female organs and certain nervous symptoms. We are not hysterical. We are strong, we want justice and we don’t want our sisters and daughters to go through this bullshit.
This explains why hysteria has commonly been conceived as a pathology to which women are exclusively susceptible. If it is based in a physiological source that is gender specific (the uterus), then the illness itself could only occur where this prerequisite physiology is present.
Capisce?
