It's a nailbiter

The special election in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District is too close to call. 45’s candidate has a slim-ass lead BUT the provisional ballots have not yet been counted. There’s still a chance.

Republicans have rigged/gerrymandered shit so's they can jump the starting line of every damn race. This means that every last one of us have GOT to get to the polls for every damn contest.

This is a handy dandy little site. Click that you’ll vote, then you can register or check your registration status. You can also see who your elected officials are.

Nota bene: there are only two Republicans on Massachusetts' list, Charlie Baker and Karyn Polito – governor and lieutenant governor. I’d love to see that error corrected come November.

How blindingly stupid is it that blue, blue Massachusetts has a Republican governor? The party stands for tax cuts for the wealthy (and screw us poors!); it’s the Party of humanity defying and defiling child thefts; they have a blind mission to poison the planet and make sure none but the rich can afford health care and then there’s their disastrous, historically plain to see, economic performances.

Calling them the Greedheaded, Humanity Abusing, Tiny Dicked, Planet Desecrating, Depraved Misogynists Party is kind of a mouthful so, I guess, calling them Republicans will have to suffice.

How'd we supposedly sane and wickedly smart Massachusettsans (AKA Massholes), end up with a Republican governor and lieutenant gov? Baker put out that he’s “not really a Republican" and too many of us fell for it. If he's“not really a Republican,” why is he a card carrying member of the Party? I'll tell ya why – the “not really a Republican” line is horseshit. It's a lie, a scam and it’s part of his grift to gull the rubes. That’s how the Swindler Party see you and me and everyone else who’s not wealthy and white – we're marks to be fleeced.

The Democratic Primary where we get to choose the replacement for  Governor "not really a Republican" Fraudster is on September 4rth.

Bob Massie’s running and I like everything I’ve read about him.
He went to Divinity school at Yale, and then served as a minister in New York where he helped found a homeless shelter.
Determined to understand the relationship between corporate power and inequality, Bob earned a doctorate from the Harvard Business School in 1989. His dissertation picked up the threads of activism, social justice and corporate influence and he expanded it to write Loosing the Bonds: The United States and South Africa in the Apartheid Years.
Jay Gonzalez is running too. I know almost nothing about him beyond what his website  and wikipedia tell me.
Through his work providing health insurance coverage for low-income residents, helping cities and towns build new schools and fire stations, and managing the state budget for Governor Deval Patrick during the Great Recession, Jay has always put people first.
~~~
Jay has been a fierce advocate for high-quality early education for all of our children, and is the former Chairman of the Massachusetts Board of Early Education and Care.
I’ll happily vote for whoever wins the primary.
We certainly have our share of gun-toting, empathy devoid, shortsighted trolls and reactionary idiots in this state. I find them, happily, easy to avoid. Hopefully, come November, we’ll have two less of them in our legislature.
