Jen and I are flying home this morning. We've a 5AM flight. Why, OH WHY, did I choose such an early goddamn flight?
Eh, we woulda flown out last night but, often enough to count on it, Jet Blue late afternoon and evening flights run late. Multiple hour delays aren't rare. Still Jet Blue's my fave carrier so here we are at 4:30 in the everlovin' morning, getting ready to board.
*oof*
The upside is that we'll be home by 7ish to our beautiful herd of cat. We can climb into our own racks and take it easy after a fast and somewhat worrisome visit.
The vexing bit? The director of Daddy's assisted living set up has changed and the joint's beginning to turn into a harsh, uncaring warehouse for olds, not so very unlike 45's jails for brown kids (though Pop still has walls versus a wire mesh cage). Celeste is gonna have a convo with this newbie – see if some happy goodness can be reached. If not, the old man's gonna have to relocate.
All change is stressful, even good change.
