Outré
adjective
passing the bounds of what is usual or considered proper; unconventional; weird, shocking
As in:
The current ultra outré president of the United States and his Republi/Fascists enablers must be removed from office posthaste.

Prévenance
noun
special care in anticipating or catering to the needs and pleasures of others.
As in:
It can't honestly be said that my mother was, in general, noted for her tenderness or prévenance for her children other than her son.

Roscian
adjective
of, relating to, or involving acting.
As in:
His wife graced the roscian sphere, appearing in staged radio dramas.

Also too, not to be confused with rosacea – something many tipplers, such as W.C. Fields, suffer from.

Clamant
adjective
compelling or pressing; urgent:
As in:
The clamant need for action on the environment is made blindingly clear with every new storm

Refugium
noun
an area in which a population of organisms can survive through a period of unfavorable conditions, especially glaciation.

The word sounds like one of Sarah Palin’s made up lexemes but no – it's a biological term.
As in:
If we continue to let the greedheaded, planet killer captains of industry rule, humanity will need a refugium.

Bona fides
noun
good faith; absence of fraud or deceit; the state of being exactly as claims or appearances indicate
As in:
Hairplug Himmler’s swindler, bunco artist, con man bona fides have ALWAYS been apparent to anyone with half a brain.

Ciceronian
adjective
characterized by melodious language, clarity, and forcefulness of presentation, as in the style of Cicero: Ciceronian invective.
As in:
Preznant Dribbling Diseased Brain Fart’s utterances wouldn’t ever be described as Ciceronian, probably not even by the similarly glossolalia-ed Failin’ Pailin.

Neoteric
adjective
new or modern; recent.

Banalize
verb
to render or make devoid of freshness or originality; trivialize:

These two sound like marketing buzz words, travel industry jargon.
As in:
Don’t banalize your neoteric vacay. Add  fun. Make it adventitious!
Adventitious is an adjective which actually means
associated with something by chance
rather than as an integral part; extrinsic.
BUT it sounds more like sales-speak for an adventure from which you, in some way, turn a profit.

Epistolary
adjective
contained in or carried on by letters: an epistolary friendship.

This is, rilly now, when you’re pissed off at a friend and email to tell them.
As in:
Ya know, I was positively livid with Gretchen and shot off a hot epistle (noun form) to tell her why.

Elide
verb
to suppress; omit; ignore; pass over.

Sounds like something Gelsey Kirkland would do.
As in:
She did a quick quick jeté, and then a long smooth elde.

Operose
adjective
done with or involving much labor.

Nope. This is what you give your date, to wear in his lapel.
As in:
Before Ten and I left for a brill performance of The Magic Flute I handed him a sweet white operose.

Hive Mind
noun
a notional entity consisting of a large number of people who share their “knowledge” or opinions with one another, regarded as producing either uncritical conformity or collective “intelligence.”

Daffing
noun
merriment; playful behavior; foolishness.

CLOSE! This is the term for when you’re doing a Daffy Duck impression.

    A small insect which can transform into a bivalve mollusc is known as a clamant.

    After a person dies, he transforms into a mere skeleton -- that is, he bonafides.

    Banalize means to prohibit something to give yourself time to study it.

    Adventitious: An adventure involving tits.

    I ordered a handgun over the internet, from an e-pistol-ary website.

    My 'operose because of what he said, but then I realized 'elide to me.
