Ten took this shot on his morning walk. I am sooo envious! |
Symptoms:
√ Loss of Balance—Shit balance? Yup, that’s my SOP.FAST (from WebMD)
√ Weakness—Yeah but I’m working on that. Possibly, overdoing the workouts too.
√ Face, Arm or Leg Paralysis or Numbness—Yes on the face business. That’s par for the course since the brain slice-up when I lost my hearing. Yes, I was given a heads up on the the face fuckery. It was less than thrilling but not not a big surprise.
Difficult Speech e.g., slurred—NOPE (YEA me!)
√ Impaired Vision e.g., blurred or double vision—Mine’s more in the fuzzy realm. It's from all the cornea saving Erythromycin I load in every few hours.
Lack of Understanding—Does not understanding the idiocy and intense hate of the GOP’s base count? No? Then I gotta take a pass on this one.
Sudden Severe Headache—NOPE (again YEA me!)
Loss of Sensation, Numbness—No more than uszh.
Dizziness—Not so you’d really notice.
Lack of Reflexes e.g., difficulty swallowing—On rare occasion. More when I first got home from Hospitalville. I’m seeing a specialist about this soon. Sheesh, there’s a doc for every little body part malfunction and I think I’ve seen most of them.
Fainting—Nope
- Face. Tell the person to smile. Watch to see if their face droops. (mine will)
- Arms. Have the person raise both their arms. Watch to see if one is weak or sags. (only my skin will but, ya know, I’m 63—that’s normal)
- Speech. Ask the person to say a simple phrase. Listen for slurred or strange-sounding words. (I occasionally throw in a phrase in German, French or Italian—that’s not strange, it’s fun!)
- Time. Every minute counts. Call 911 right away.
So no, I did NOT have a stroke this morning while Ten was out for his morning walk. Yea me!
