Rain

Yesterday was gorgeous. Here are two shots from my slightly longer than previously achieved walk—550 feet or so versus 500. Yea me! One day, one step at a time.

Today though, Calandra, Mariamman, Chaac, Anẓar, Tó Neinilii and every other damn goddess and god of rain are conspiring to keep me indoors. Donna haz a fucking sad, mes amis.

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind

If the rain comes
They run and hide their heads
They might as well be dead
If the rain comes

The Beatles—Rain

Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?
I’ve stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I’ve walked and I’ve crawled on six crooked highways
I’ve stepped in the middle of seven sad forests
I’ve been out in front of a dozen dead oceans
I’ve been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard

And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, and it’s a hard
And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall
