We must have a pie. Stress cannot exist in the presence of a pie.
~ David Mamet, Boston Marriage

Or cake. Heading out soon to Saint Fratelli's for some, ya know, purely medicinal cuppycakes.

I was a little excited but mostly blorft. "Blorft" is an adjective I just made up that means 'Completely overwhelmed but proceeding as if everything is fine and reacting to the stress with the torpor of a possum.' I have been blorft every day for the past seven years.
~ Tina Fey, Bossypants

My reaction to stress is much more of the "Mmmmmmft-Bzzzzzzzzz" variety. 'Completely overwhelmed and wound up like a 5'4" top, reacting to stress by doing more, more, more. I will bury that damn stress in action and completed tasks and projects! Dammit."

You must learn to let go. Release the stress. You were never in control anyway.
~ Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth and Being Free

Sounds so easy when you say it!

If the problem can be solved why worry? If the problem cannot be solved worrying will do you no good.
~ Śāntideva

Once more with a bucket of verve, sounds so easy when you say it!

I worry no matter how cynical you become, it's never enough to keep up.

Reality is the leading cause of stress amongst those in touch with it.
~ Jane Wagner

Maybe if we just lay beneath the stars long enough, all our worries will dissipate into the cosmos. And we can lay there motionless, yet sailing across the stars.
~ Trevor Driggers

Similarly, if I lay on the sand, feeling the waves, watching the light play on the surf, everything will be OK.

'Scuse me, gotta go lay in the sand and, ya know, commune with the waves and shit.
