Though the sun is threatening to break through the cloud cover, today will be the third in a row of nasty, constant cold rain, sleet and snow. Inland, even by just a town or two, they’re getting pretty, picturesque, winter-in-New-England snow.
Here? It’s icy as all hell. Yeah – whine, swivel, kvetch. Granted, it’s not like I’m going outside any time soon (from the looks of my calendar, unless I have another seizure, I’m not due back at MGH until March first – YEA!).
While it’s less than postcard gorgeous outside right now, come the summer, when it’s an unbearable 90º on the Cambridge Common, it’ll be a sweet 80 here WITH a lovely sea breeze! So, warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Works for me.

Word for the day:
UitwaaienYes. THIS! If I wasn’t such a tippy, weak and unstable motherfucker, I would be outside, engaging in some serious uitwaaien – speed-walking to the big beach down the street. Hells bells, I’d be taking a tour of Nut Island or zip-a-dee-doo-dah-ing my way up Nantasket Beach.

Meanwhile, here’s some fun, NOT Republi/Fascist's-are-destroying-the-country stuff.
