Perhaps, when Trump’s pet Supreme Court torpedoed the Voting Rights Act, they actually shot him and his party of shortsighted, bigoted imbeciles in the foot?

A new analysis of Black voters in the south indicates that Republican attempts to dilute their political power is driving them to the polls in larger numbers and shifting their counties further left.

The analysis by VoteHub, a data-focused election organization, indicates that the efforts have only motivated Black voters in the 78 Black belt counties it tracked. All but one shifted left in partisan turnout compared with 2024. Further, majority-Black counties that voted after Louisiana v Callais, the landmark supreme court decision that triggered the Republican-led redistricting efforts, had a surge in voter participation.

In nearby Louisiana, Black voters made up 35.7% of the primary electorate, despite making up only 32.1% of the population. The state experienced increased voter turnout across partisan groups and race, but 30.9% of Black voters cast ballots in the primary election – 3.2 points more than white voters. (source)

Here’s something really great though – I had THE most amazing sandwich last night. It was a Tomato Caprese – fresh mozzarella, vine ripe tomato, pesto, roasted peppers, basil and olive oil on marble rye. OH MY FUCKING GOD! 

Astoundingly I was able to control myself and only ate half. I’ll have the other half for breakfast this morning.

The death toll in Lebanon as of this morning is 4,321. There have been 12,207 injuries due to Israeli attacks. 

Meanwhile, they’re def not letting up on the Palestinians. Bast forbid!

Since the October “ceasefire”, at least 1,098 Palestinians have been killed and 3,535 wounded by Israeli attacks.

Here inside the US, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo’s murder by ICE is the tenth killing by federal immigration officials nationwide since the second Pedo administration began. 

In the 500 days between President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025 and June 4, 2026, 52 people died in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody in the United States. The mortality rate of deaths in ICE custody is at its highest level in over a decade and has more than doubled since Trump’s second term began. (source) 

As of Monday, July 6th, 21 people, that we know of, have been passively (and not so passively) murdered while in ICE custody this year. 

Outside the US, in the year and five months since Prez Laughingstock was sworn in he’s, so far, responsible for around 4,000 deaths — probably more. There’s Venezuela, his War Crimes Secretary’s boat strikes, and Pedo's obscene, vain, and devastatingly stupid cock-up in Iran.

I only mention it but more than 1.2 million people in the US have died of COVID-19. How many of them would have survived if Pedo hadn’t completely, thoroughly botched how the whole business was handled? From masking and distancing to vaccines, he weaponized his imbecilic cult. In this second and final term, is our banjaxed brained prez trying to beat his old death record? Does he want all of us to die before he does? If we're all dead, who will bring him his two Big Mac, two Filet-O-Fish, Quarter Pounder, and fries lunches and his 12 daily Diet Cokes?

According to Statista the number of civilian deaths in Ukraine since Putin’s 2022 invasion is 16,126 with 46,590 injured. This is as of May 31, 2026.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused more than two million military casualties, with Moscow’s forces bearing the brunt of the losses, according to a study published Wednesday by a US think tank.

“Combined Russian and Ukrainian casualties have exceeded 2 million,” the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) said.

It estimated that between 400,000 and 450,000 Russians have been killed since Moscow invaded Ukraine in February 2022, out of a total of 1.4 million casualties -- killed, wounded and missing -- among Russian troops.

Ukrainian forces have meanwhile suffered between 525,000 and 625,000 casualties and between 125,000 and 150,000 fatalities during the same period, CSIS said.

“Russian fatalities in Ukraine are more than four times greater than all US fatalities in all wars combined since World War II,” while the ratio of Russian to Ukrainian casualties has likely risen to around 8 to 1 in the first half of this year, it added. (source)

He could learn a few dozen things or so from Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland to name just a few successful happy countries.

So could Trump but, as we all know, he and his entire spineless, greedheaded Republican Party are incapable of intellectual enlightenment. All these dictatorial, kakistocratic, kleptocratic, plutocrats understand is money and power. They don’t care how many people have to die for them to get more.

Pedo brayed that Italy’s Premier Giorgia Meloni had "begged" him for a photo op during the G7 summit.  Meloni wasn’t having it and put out a video statement saying, amongst other things, that this shit was “completely fabricated,” ending with “Italy and I do not beg."

THEN Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani cancelled a planned trip to the US saying that Trump’s bullshit (okay, he didn’t use that precise word) was "serious and offensive" toward Meloni and all of Italy.

The Asshole Who Could NOT Shut The Fuck Up has blown the last US ally in Europe. And yesterday Israel did what it usually does — ignored the ceasefire. They hit the Nabatieh district in Lebanon’s south with drone strikes, killing 16 people and wounding 12. 

The Strait of Hormuz is closed and JDouche is in Switzerland for talks. That ought to go well. Wonder if he'll scold people for not wearing suits or saying thank you. Maybe, as he did at the Munich Security Conference, he’ll boldly, confidently, cluelessly spout that “There is a new sheriff in town.”

 Ohhhh, this is gonna go real well. I think I'll just shut my eyes until it's over.

Trump says Iran ‘took too long’ to negotiate and now will ‘pay the price’

The US president has restated claims that Iran’s military is a “complete and total mess” and like its navy and air force “doesn’t even exist anymore”.“They have been completely defeated. Iran is all talk and no action. The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!!” he said in a post on Truth Social.

“They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!!” he added, without elaborating. (source)

A new poll by the European Council on Foreign Relations thinktank has come out and, boy howdy, we’re just not a popular lot right now. Absolutely no fucking surprise there.

European trust in the US has crashed to new lows. Europeans do not expect America under Donald Trump to protect them, and they recognise the need for more autonomous security (even funded by common debt). But they do think the relationship will likely improve after Trump and want to leave the door open to that possibility.

How NOT to Start Your Day

Honestly, you’d think I’d know by now that I shouldn’t open the news first thing in the AM. I should ease into my day – preferably with carrot cake and a nice piping hot cup of tea. Right? 

Maybe scroll through some cute cat pics. Enjoy a few videos of elephant families and then a few more. Maybe check into Facebook – which is mostly ads now but I still see occasional posts from friends. I scroll Threads for some fun tales – get some grins. Read a chapter of my new Murderbot book. THEN, only then, I might be ready to face the horrors of the what’s happening in the world.

Did I do that this morning? Fuck no. First thing I read was a front-page article in Al Jazeera about the sexual abuse, rape and torture of Palestinian prisoners in Israel. The report comes with a warning – This story contains descriptions of sexual assault that some readers may find disturbing. “Disturbing” is a profound understatement. I won’t quote any of the descriptions of the horrifying, brutal, dehumanizing, absolutely demonic abuses performed by the Israeli soldiers. They make the reports of the US military’s savage torture, rape, and murders of prisoners at Abu Ghraib seem almost tame.

The word, the concept, the declaration of a ceasefire is now apparently completely meaningless in this age of Trump, Putin and Netanyahu.

In Ukraine:

At least five people have been killed in Russian air strikes on Ukrainian state-run gas facilities in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions, officials said, a day after Kyiv and Moscow announced unilateral ceasefires to take effect later this week. 

Three employees and two rescue workers were killed and 37 people were wounded in the overnight missile and drone barrage, Serhiy Koretskyi, the CEO of Ukraine’s state energy company Naftogaz said on Tuesday. (source) 

In Gaza:

Israeli attacks on Gaza killed at least three Palestinians and wounded 10 others on Thursday and Friday in Israel’s latest violations of the ceasefire. The Pulitzer Prize-winning Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha said he was “heartbroken” after Israel shot his 30-year-old aunt in the chest while she was sitting with her three young children in a school shelter in the Jabaliya refugee camp. In the Strait of Hormuz:

Iran has accused the United States of killing five civilians in the Strait of Hormuz, saying its forces attacked passenger vessels in the waterway rather than boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as claimed.

The claim on Tuesday contradicted a statement by US Admiral Brad Cooper, who said Central Command (CENTCOM) forces had sunk six IRGC vessels that had attempted to interfere with a US mission to escort stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz. (source) 

Now, you might be thinking of the US/Iran business, ‘isn’t this a he said/she said? Who can we believe?' After all, both sides are known to lie. This is true, but keep in mind the absolute, flat-out, monster sized whoppers the Pedo administration told in order to justify the U.S. military strikes (AKA extrajudicial killings, AKA murders of fisherman) and the illegal invasion of a country that posed no fucking threat at all to the US. The attacks and invasion, the abduction of Maduro had fuck-all to do with drug cartels or democracy for Venezuelan citizens or whatever lies were spewed. It was always about Pedo nailing Venezuela's oil reserves.

A new Banksy has dropped in Central London and it’s absolutely brilliant. The placement, in Westminster where there there are so many military monuments, is perfect, of course. The man in a suit – a politician? – is boldly, forcefully, confidently striding off a very tall platform, his face wrapped in his flag.

How he installed a sculpture of this huge size, in a busy area is absolutely beyond me. I realize he did it in the middle of the night but, c’mon, it’s London. NYC is known as the “the city that never sleeps,’ but I’m guessing London isn’t caught napping too often either.

In other news, the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla, attempting to bring basic humanitarian aid, including food, medical supplies, hygiene products, and construction materials was, euphemistically speaking, intercepted by the Israeli military. By the by, they were in international waters. They were 500 to 600 nautical miles from Gaza – well outside Israel's coastal waters.

Why bring construction shit? Well, don’cha know Pedo’s new bestie Bibi the genocide addict bombed the fuck outta Gaza so a lot of rebuilding needs to happen. Food, hygiene and medicine? Bibi's been working on starving and mediciding Gazans out of existence. 

Remember, Anne Frank didn’t die in a gas chamber; she died from disease (typhus) and starvation in the Bergen-Belsen. That's right – starved and med-neglected to death.

Kegseth abruptly fired Navy Secretary John Phelan. Awfully inconvenient timing, wouldn’t you say? I mean, we are in the middle of a war and that Gulf of Hormuz (or Gulf of Vermouth as the Drunk Administration calls it) is rather critical. Right?

The sources said Hegseth in effect blamed Phelan for not going aggressively enough against Senator Mark Kelly after appearing in a video in which the senator advised troops to ignore “illegal orders”. (source) 

So, Phelan got the ax because he, more or less, agreed that sailors have a duty to disobey unlawful orders. Unlawful orders defined as violating the Constitution or US or international laws like those of the Geneva Convention. Plastered Pete's ultra fragile manhood, naturally, felt threatened.

Phelan’s replacement? Acting Navy secretary Hung Cao. He has a typical Republican backstory in that there’s some obvious lies about his past. He claims to have been "completely" disabled after he was “blown up” in combat but he was never given a Purple Heart. Huh.

Eligibility for a Purple Heart applies to service members who suffered a wound: 1) As the direct or indirect result of enemy action, and 2) The wound required treatment by a medical officer at the time of the injury. (source) 

There’s also no record of him receiving the Navy’s Combat Action Ribbon.

118 Iraqis are now dead thanks to Trump and Netanyahu’s war of choice.

Yesterday, Donnie Demento “barred” Bibi from bombing Lebanon. How’s that working out, you ask?

Israel has already attacked Lebanon, saying that Hezbollah violated the ceasefire first. As in Gaza, they've targeted medics and civilians.

The first two ambulances were destroyed, their tyres blown and windows shattered. Six of their eight crew members were covered in blood and lying in the road or the back of one vehicle.
