That's me and Ten this weekend. OK, we're not so far north OR northwest BUT, relative to Valhalla we totes are!
We spent the night at a rustic little motel outside of Bennington, Vermont. Gorgeous views of mountains and sky.
As usual, I'm fantasizing about a second home up this way. Logistically this has to stay in Imagination Land. Why?
We'll keep traveling, finding new, fascinating pockets of enchantment and reveling in the old.

- Southern Vermont and Upstate New York, brill though they be, are too long of a drive for fast, easy get-aways. Yeah, it's just three or four hours from Valhalla BUT I'm less than keen on spending time driving.
- One house is more than enough financial responsibility for me.
We'll keep traveling, finding new, fascinating pockets of enchantment and reveling in the old.
