What's the Matter with Kentucky?

I’m pretty sure that, in my years of crisscrossing the country, I passed though Kentucky once or twice. Landscape-wise it's a honey.

Mitchell McConnell, the 77 year old fossil who’s been working real bloody hard at destroying democracy since he was first elected to the senate there in 1984, has said he “honestly, doesn’t approve” of all convicted violent criminals that his fellow Kentuckian Republi/Fascist has pardoned.
Bevin, who had a reputation for making controversial and unproven claims during his single term as Kentucky’s governor, was narrowly defeated by Democrat Andy Beshear in November. Before leaving office, he issued 428 pardons, a group that includes multiple convicted murderers and sex offenders, the Courier-Journal reported.

Asked Thursday by Meiners (
a radio host) how he could stomach pardoning a child rapist, Bevin responded, “Which one?(source)
Micah Schoettle, ex-Gov Bevin's fave child  rapist

The pardon means that 41-year-old Micah Schoettle, will NOT have to register as a sex offender and he can even have the heinous crime wiped from his record. Let’s make this child rapist’s mug famous, eh?

Proving that if you gin up the buckos, Republicans are also AOK with murder:
The family of a man pardoned by Gov. Matt Bevin for a homicide and other crimes in a fatal 2014 Knox County home invasion raised $21,500 at a political fundraiser last year to retire debt from Bevin’s 2015 gubernatorial campaign.
The brother and sister-in-law of offender Patrick Brian Baker also gave $4,000 to Bevin’s campaign on the day of the fundraiser, according to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance database. (source)
I wonder, would Moscow Mitch have made even that slight moue of distaste had Bevin won reelection – if he was still the Republican Gov of Kentucky? Doubt it. After all, Gym Jordan still has a tax payer supported gig and there’s been nada but crickets from that criminally on-the-take slug of senate “leader.”

Yes, I know the former wrestling coach, who only shrugged, saying “Yeah, that’s Strauss,” when told his employee was molesting  and raping boys, is from Ohio not Kentucky. He’s a Repubi/Fascist though and those shitheels never diss each other, no matter the crime, unless dude's lost his bid for more of that yummy fraud.

With the assholes and miscreants consistently elected from this otherwise beautiful state I really gotta wonder about the general astuteness, the acumen, the motherfucking sweet reason of the average Blue Grasser.

Have all the good, intelligent, righteous people been voter suppressed and gerrymandered into near nonexistence?
If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.
