It’s cold (13ºF/-10.5ºC) and snowy outside this morning. NOT a good day for outdoor PT. Nope, I won’t be going down the porch steps, let alone walking along the seawall, today. Now that I’ve got a smidge more strength and stamina, I’ve been challenging myself to increase the walking (w/brace and walker), bed level exercising and peddling.
Great, right? Absolutely but, me being me, I’ve overdone things and needed a few sloth recovery days. Joy.
Yesterday I began doing something brand-y-ass new. I’m attempting balance—not doing too much (so I’m in evil pain for the next two days) and not too little (thus stalling out my progress). It’s the Goldilocks Rehab plan.
Between the frigid weather and rabidly burgeoning Omicron variant. I don’t know if my PT or OT will make it out here to Valhalla today. S'OK, Ten can run me through the spotter-needed exercises.

Word for the day:
SkookumTen, who’s from the Pacific NW, tells me that amongst wildland firefighters, skookum is slang for ‘it’s all good/groovy’ and is often used in greetings. Cool or, maybe I should say, skookum!
Adjective
strong; large; powerful; impressive; monstrous.
Origin
…skookum entered Chinook Jargon instead from Lower Chehalis, a Salishan language once spoken in the southwestern coastal area of the Olympic Peninsula; skookum derives from Lower Chehalis skwəkwə́m “ghost, spirit, monster.”

Aside from doing my PT today, I’ve been reading a bunch of articles about Jupiter—the planet not Burt Reynold’s hometown. OK, mostly I’m just looking at gorgeous pics from the Juno spacecraft.
It’s a good way to start the day AND I'm getting some fun ideas.
Nailed it!
