Time for Another Flood

IF there's god, I think a do-over of humanity is most def called for and soon.

 A California man admitted this week to threatening to attack the offices of Merriam-Webster and kill its editor in a string of violent messages targeting the inclusion of gender identity in the dictionary’s definitions of “female” and “girl.” (source)

2) a person whose gender identity is female

Jeremy David Hanson wrote to the dictionary’s publisher saying:

“I am going to shoot up and bomb your offices for lying and creating fake definitions in order to pander to the tranny mafia.”

Ya know, I had NO idea that a “tranny mafia” exists. Huh, I’m always learning new things. According to Merriam-Webster, the Mafia is a secret club of crimers in Italy (and elsewhere) OR, a group of people likened to the Mafia especially : a group of people of similar interests or backgrounds prominent in a particular field or enterprise.

By this second definition, Jen, Oni, Ten and I (plus Cake and Skitter OF COURSE), could be deemed the Valhalla Mafia. Our shared interests? Sci/fi, fantasy, spicy FOOD, reading (Cake and Skitter are absolute scholars who favor the works of George Orwell, Kurt Vonnegut and, naturally, Shakespeare) and naps. Our enterprise? NCC-1701-D. Duh!

Back to our little buddy Jer though, he went on to spew “Boys aren’t girls, and girls aren’t boys. The only good Marxist is a dead Marxist. I will assassinate your top editor. You sickening, vile tranny freaks.”

How does Marxism relate to gender identity? Also, is he talking about Karl Marx or the Marx Brothers? Does he know that Karl, Chico, Harpo, Groucho, Gummo, and Zeppo are all already dead? No assassinations needed.

Why is this sad, raging, 34 year old virgin so worked up about other people’s gender identity? How does it effect his existence? Is he afraid that he’s actually a woman? In high school, did he desperately want to wear short pleated skirts and high heels?

In another message, he allegedly wrote: “It is absolutely sickening that Merriam-Webster now tells blatant lies and promotes anti-science propaganda. There is no such thing as ‘gender identity.’ The imbecile who wrote this entry should be hunted down and shot.”

Sorry little dude, gender identity is a real thing and has existed for as long as life has occupied the planet.

Gender identity is each person’s internal and individual experience of gender. It is a person’s sense of being a woman, a man, both, neither, or anywhere along the gender spectrum. A person’s gender identity may be the same as or different from their birth-assigned sex. (source)

If being female is defined as being able to produce a mini-me or three, then I am not a woman and never have been. If being a man requires a schwanz, well...waddya know, I’m not a dude either.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all those CiNOs (Christians in Name Only) minded their own damn business AND got themselves a solid, reality based education? Yes. Yes it would.
