Yesterday was spectacularly beautiful. 70 degrees, sunny, the wind was calm and everyone was feelin' groovy. I managed to toss myself outta the house and onto my trike early (always best for me to ride or walk at the very tippy top of the day when my energy is at its peak) — as did much of the rest of the Neck. This seems to be Morning Person Central. Home!
Mind you, I was the only one on a trike — the rest were walking their pooches and/or bairn, jogging, biking or doing yard work. As I passed by, my fellow Neckers greeted me with grins and waves. The neighborhood was teeming with the bright, buoyant, blithe action.
Spinning my way up Bay View Ave., I serendipitously ran into Jen and her sister Erin, whose paths had crossed just the moment before. Jen was out for her morning run and Erin was giving young Patrick a tour about town in his pram.
Happy accidental meetings on such a lovely morning.
Now it's time to don my sneaks and go for a beach scramble while the tide's out.
Goddamn, I love this time of year!
