And Then The Universe Cut Us Some Slack

After much prelim chat with docs and nurses, pre-chemo meds and general hullabaloo, the big bad chemicals which will heal my Amazing Bob, started dripping into his system. Zero hour was at 11-ish AM.

We both had grand mas fear about allergic reactions to the meds. We'd been advised that it might happen and, if it did, the chemistry would be altered and we'd get back in the game. Everyone from caregivers to medics to friends assured us that the team of watchers would be keeping an eagle eye on our hero. He wouldn't languish and suffer, waiting on an assist.

Knowing this didn't necessarily dispell the nightmarish potential scenes playing in my head.

So far, almost three hours in and NO problems! NO nasty-ass allergic rat-bastardness from the drugs! Stunning is what this is. Magnificent it is.

We both know that there's bound to be bumps in the road ahead.  *sigh* There'll be nausea and exhaustion at some point. Maybe really, really soon. Understood. For now, we'll take this glorious lack of nastiness.

And another thing--my 'terp, Susan Muller-Hershon--she's AWESOME!
