So, this is Christmas

Grand gifts!
Olivia's handmade card!
I’ve said that I don’t celebrate Christmas—it’s not one of my holidays—and this is true.

HOWEVER, this year, more than any other, I’ve gotten swept up in the fever of the season. How so?
  • I bought/made/found and gave more prezzies.
  • The Amazing Bob and I put up more Christmas lights.
  • Instead of buying holiday cards, I made them—they feature a pic of mine and a bad pun of TAB’s. I LOVE them!
  • I actually wrapped gifts IN Christmas paper too! OK, the paper’s got winter themes with snowflakes and snowmen AND peace symbols—close enough.
  • All this and I’ve been very focused on getting everything done, hung, mailed off, finished by this morning.
Normally I’m very bad with deadlines. Horrifically wretched would be a more apt descriptive. Having drop dead completion dates always makes me nervous. Yes, I get my bills paid on time, layout and design proofs sent off well before they’re due and I stay on top of all our medic assignations but holidays? birthdays? anniversaries? Eh, I suck. I remember them eventually but, without my computer calendar prompts, I'd be lost.
Our holiday card

and greeting
I’ve been sort of, for me, frenzied in my efforts to properly, (for once), take care of all the Ho Ho Ho business and have it done on schedule. And I did! I believe I’m up for a gold star on my forehead, right? Ya know, at least.

Good doobie that I've been, what’d I win? Today is a FREE day! TAB and I will honor tradition (ours that is) by staying home and doing as close to nothing as is possible. We'll watch movies (Star Trek!), eat Chinese food and revel in baked goods (both TAB and Saint Fratelli creations). Oh yeah and we’ll open our presents from Celeste and our gorgeous grands.

I asked Jen Why do you think I'm so all fired Christmas-y this year? She allowed that it's because TAB's in good health. We survived a painfully hard year.  We're doing AOK. Yup, I believe this calls for another slice of apple pie for brekkie.
My ultra festive holiday shot glass. A prezzie from Jen.
So, this is Christmas
And what have you done?
Another year over
And a new one just begun

And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Lets hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The road is so long

And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
John Lennon—Happy Christmas
