Here’s the thing I may’ve liked best about the flick – all the brilliantly smart, strong women. Letitia Wright, who plays Black Panther’s technoWOW sister was absolutely amazing. She’s a cool, funny and rightly self-confident teenage Q to his awesome and earnest Bond. Bond, I mean T’Challa AKA Black Panther, is wonderfully played by the very handsome Chadwick Boseman. T'Challa has doubts, he listens and thinks, is open and questing. He exudes strength and resolve. Boseman's T'Challa ain't no 2D super hero.
If Obama was a superhero, he’d SO be Black Panther.

Scott Pruitt spends taxpayer money, OUR money, to fly ultra expensive, posh first class because someone(s) took him to task for his predatory kill-the-planet-for-oil bullshit. Scott Pruitt can’t take criticism or diplomatically and intelligently defend his decisions. Why does this snowflake have a job?
Dana Loesch, the NRA’s dick with tits, likes to come off all tough and strong. How does she react to folks calling her on her shit? With lies, running away and then – yes – more lies. ~~~

Some people throw the terms "snowflake" and "politically correct" around so frequently and, as you point out here, they seem to be the same ones who could be accused of being both themselves.
ReplyDeleteEverybody has things they feel strongly about and lines they don't think should be crossed. It's just that everybody's lines are different. If someone accuses you of being a snowflake or politically correct, it seems to me that they just don't care about the issue you care about.
We all know what issue the President cares about. he cares about himself, and if anything crosses him, he's instantly the world's biggest victim.

The fact that most of them are religious sharpens their sense of outrage when they get challenged. I can't imagine how they'd fare if they were subjected to the kind of crap that blacks and gays have been.

In the 1970s snowflake was a disparaging term for a white man or for a black man who was seen as acting white. It was also used as a slang term for cokeheads. But before either of those it was used for a time with a very particular political meaning.
In Missouri in the early 1860s, a “Snowflake” was a person who was opposed to the abolition of slavery—the implication of the name being that such people valued white people over black people. The Snowflakes hoped slavery would survive the country’s civil war.
In short, inbred ignorant racist assholes.
And just one more thing: cuckold is properly defined as the husband of an unfaithful wife, though as an classic insult it falls more to a measure of how little a husband is thought of by a frivolously flaunting frequently promiscuous wife. My sons tell me the non-classic version is a bit more graphic.
