Golden Circles

Not Golden Earring -- Golden Circle.

Today, in Iceland, Jen and I will do nada. That is, we're going on a tour -- it's The Golden Circle with the Iceland Guided Tours company. It feels like we're doing nothing, at this point, because we won't be walking all over creation, trying to decide which gallery/museum/shop/pub we should try next OR making ungodly, brainbustingly hard efforts to figure out the cost of everything in our heads (OK, if one US dollar is equal to 124.66 Icelandic Kronur then this cool scarf  at 15,000 ISK will cost me....em, carry the 4 and....what's 5 divided by 6?...and...um. Oh fuck, maybe the nice sales lady has a calculator).

Yeah so, not having to think, just staring out the window at the lovely scenery, counts as doin' nothin'. Granted, Jen will be listening to the tour guide and 'terping for me when he gets to the good bits (volcanoes, tectonic plates, history) which is probably gonna be most of it so...poor Jen. I'll see if the iPad's voice recognition software is up to the task of transcribing the guide's spiel before I put her to work.

We hit one AMAZING ceramics gallery yesterday, Kaolin as well as a cool gallery of paintings, Art67. More on these as well as the WAY killah street art/murals after we get back to Boston and I can post the shots I was lucky enough to get.
