I went to the grocery store yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve driven in well over a year. Yes, I was nervous as hell. I don’t like driving – not at all. In fact, I HATE being behind the wheel!
Jen and Ten would prefer that I NOT go out on my own – they say it’s not safe. Yes...truth. Between my crap motoring skills AND the Trump Plague, it is, most def, NOT safe out there.
It looks like Massachusetts will have a relievedly mega slow, careful re-opening which MIGHT begin on Monday, May 18th.
In Connecticut:
I need Ten, who’s currently in Oregon and Coco, who will cause nothing but trouble at Jen and Oni’s Pop Up Pub .
I can’t go for a hike in the Blue Hills BUT the rich can go play with their little sticks and balls on overly manicured, pesticide soaked, bee killing fairways.
Why? Money doesn’t talk, it swears.
And if my thought-dreams could be seen
They'd probably put my head in a guillotine
But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only.

Gov. Charlie Baker has warned that Massachusetts isn’t there yet; federal officials say states should only begin lifting restrictions after a 14-day period of declining COVID-19 cases. And while Massachusetts has seen some positive downward trends, the number of cases remains high in what is by most figures the third-hardest-hit state in the country. (source)
In Connecticut:
“Individuals over the age of 65 or with other health conditions should not visit restaurants, but instead continue to stay home and stay safe,” the state’s reopening guidance advises.I’m not 65 (61, thenkyewveddymuch!) and my “health conditions” don’t fall into the usual “high risk”groups except maybe the prolonged use of corticosteroids. I’m not about to take any chances though. I’d love to go out to lunch – have a plate of fish and chips and a tall glass of Sauvignon Blanc – BUT I can wait. I can wait forever now that Jen, Oni and I are stylin’ up a pub in their big kitchen. We bought pizza and pretzel flavored goldfish crackers, I have my seaweed crisps, Jen’s premixed margaritas AND we have more eps of Star Trek: Discovery. Honestly, what more do I need?

The four-phase reopening first will allow a limited number of businesses resume operations with “severe restrictions” in place, followed by a second wave of industries reopening with restrictions and capacity limits. The third wave of industries will be allowed to reopen with public health guidance. In the fourth phase, Massachusetts will try to return to a “new normal” after a vaccine is developed, Gov. Charlie Baker said Monday. (source)Golf courses have already reopened. Of course.
