Dreams and Other Bits

Busy dream night.

Número uno: My buddy Israel and I were racing across the Black Rock Desert. He was on a Vincent Black Shadow and I rode my Vincent Black Lightning.

We were neck and neck, dry, hot air zooming our faces, the scent of baked earth gracing our beaks and we were laughing with pure, unbridled joy.

That was the whole dream – it was totally awesome.

Número dos: The Amazing Bob and I were in some gigantic mall during peak Christmas shopping season (something we NEVAH did in real life). We stopped for a cuppa and cookie. I went to the counter to order which took forEVAH. When I got back to our table, TAB was gone. I was freaked and panicked. All I could do was lay down on the tabletop, fetal up and cry. Eventually, I got up, found him in a department store, lost him again and, naturally, went sobbing fetal monster again.

Número tres: Ten and I were in some small, adorbs coastal Maine town on a sunny spring day. There were hordes of multi-colored fluffy bunnies everywhere. Dunno what we were up to BUT the creatively hued cottontails were fun.

In GREAT news – Jen’s COVID test came back negative! Also good news, Oni’s case of Plague45 seems to be abating. We have 10 days left of quarantine BUT at least the visiting nurse and physical therapists are able to visit me again.

Also, while our formal “teas” AND my birthday hooplah have been tragically suspended, we can have socially distant, masked cocktail hours in the yard.

I finished A. Lee Martinez’s Constance Verity Saves the World and highly recommend it (as I do all his books) and am now reading Jackson Ford’s The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind, which, so far, is every bit as much fun.

Escapism – that’s the name of the game. The back pain continues to hit Courbet levels and Picasso and Van Gogh are regulars too. Possibly, I’m attempting too much action too soon. That would be so very much me. I’ve the patience of a coked up hare but you knew that.

I have PT at two this afternoon and will request a specific game plan. I know that I need to get up, sit up once an hour BUT when can I safely do more than walk laps around my wee cottage?

Hmmmmmm and shit.
