Feel Like Boycotting?

Here are some of the biggest corporations based in Texas. I've left out the oil/gas assholes unless they have filling stations. Why? Mostly because we, us consumer types, have little to no direct contact with them.
In no particular order:
  • Huggies diapers
  • Little Swimmers: swim diapers
  • Pull-Ups: training pants
  • GoodNites (DryNites outside North America): pull-on diapers for children, teens and young adults who experience bedwetting
  • Poise: Pads and liners for light to moderate urinary incontinence in adult women
  • Depend: diapers and briefs for adults
  • Kotex
  • Kleenex
  • Scott: paper napkins, paper towels and toilet paper
  • Cottonelle
  • Viva: paper towels

For starters, let's hit 'em where it'll hurt the most—the wallet.

  1. Boycotts do work, and yes we should be doing everything we can to punish those responsible for this atrocity. But in honor of women we should call it the Girlcott. Seems apropos...

    1. Oh, you're right, you're right. I think I was being a bit snarky in yesterday's post and specifically referring to visiting Texas—like WHY would anyone in this day and age. But there's plenty of good reasons and affects to boycotting companies based in that state. If enough of us do it, csop.s like Kimberly-Clark may actually feel enough pain to say something. I can hope.

  2. Boycotting products is fine, but what about Texas women going all Lysistrata on their menfolk?

"Sorry, dear -- if I get pregnant, I won't be able to terminate the pregnancy. And condoms break, you know..."

    1. If men had to pay consequences, not just women, this law would never had gotten past drunk pub talk.

  3. Because of the new gun laws and open carry women in Texas should be armed. "Go ahead, make my day."

    1. the whole state would be a bloodbath :-( having said that, I'll bet the women, once trained, would be much more accurate shots.
