This is my guard cat. Also my Teddy bear. Now that I'm home she's on me like mozzarella on pizza. Last night she slept under the covers, at my neck, for the majority of the night. Uncomfortable? I don't think so—she uttered no complaints.
No, this isn't the best pic of her but, ya know, she was busy guarding. Coco was on the clock and shit.
Related, have you read John Scalzi's Alien Animal Encounters post on Strange Horizons yet? Oh please, you MUST go read.
Unrelated, it's black Friday—the official kick off to Christmas shopping. Crowd hater and Recovery Queen that I am, I'm staying home, as uszh. It's not just black Friday it's a COVID Shopping Fest. I'm, obvs being all obnoxiously contrarian....quelle surprise.
Sorta kinda related, I woke at 4AM totally needing to go to the can man. I searched and hunted for the call gizmo so's I could summon the magic night nurse or aide to give an assist. I failed to locate the comunicator. WHY? I'm home dammit, I'm home! Yeah, total befuddlement on the part of yurs truly.
Only vaguely related, yesterday was Thanksgiving. Ten crafted the ultra traditional meal—black bean with tomato enchiladas, some kind of awesome shrimp and Brussel sprouts. Yep, we're wicked traditional like that.
What's up for today? I've taken two full days off from most of my recovery exercises. Today I'm back at it. I'm on an upswing and I aim to stay there. Dammit.
Whole-grain chorizo with black beans, tomatoes and a touch of cheese enchiladas under a light sweet chili sauce with key-limed shrimp and brussels sprouts splashed in red wine vinegar on the side.
