Moon

Tried to get a good pic of the waning gibbous moon this morning to no avail. Motherfucker was NOT cooperating. So I kluged together an illustration or two for you. Yur welcome.
How in the world you gonna see
Laughin' at fools like me
Who in the hell d'you think you are
A super star
Well, right you are

Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Well we all shine on
Ev'ryone come on
Instant karma's gonna get you
Gonna knock you off your feet
~ John Lennon, Instant Karma
And the sun and the moon sometimes argue over who will tuck me in at night. If you think I am having more fun than anyone on this planet, you are absolutely correct.
~ Hafiz
Do not swear by the moon, for she changes constantly. then your love would also change.
~ William Shakespeare
But even when the moon looks like it's waning...it's actually never changing shape. Don't ever forget that.
~ Ai Yazawa, Nana, Vol. 14

Where did you live before you came here?" I asked.
"The moon," he said smoothly. "We left because the place had no atmosphere.”
~ Laurie Halse Anderson, The Impossible Knife of Memory
Let's swim to the moon
Let's climb through the tide
Surrender to the waiting worlds
That lap against our side.
~ Jim Morrison
Time was a film run backward. Suns fled and ten million moons fled after them.
~ Ray Bradbury

If you want to write a song about the moon
Walk along the craters of the afternoon
When the shadows are deep and the light is alien
And gravity leaps like a knife off the pavement

And you want to write a song about the moon
You want to write a spiritual tune
Then nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Presto, a song about the moon
~ Paul Simon
