Cake has an early appointment at the vet’s this morning. It's just an annual check up but it's his first vet trip with us.
- Will it be a simple matter to get him into his carrier? (I know, I know—put a few treats and a little catnip in there to dress it up a bit, make it more appealing.)
- Will he be a freaked out mess with the doc? I would be (okay, that's not true—I'm generally very good at my myriad doc appointments. To date, I have not slashed or bit any of my pit crew).
- Will they find anything wrong or worrisome with our little chonky boy? His coat is thinning slightly over his hip bones. I'm concerned. Has he healed fully from his tail amputation (which was done before I adopted him)?
We’ll see. Nervous? No, what makes you think that?
We must have a pie. Stress cannot exist in the presence of a pie.

Anxiety’s like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you very far.

Love the anxiety quotes! Nope, I do not like going to the vet. I like my vet but I dread the visit. FYI - I found a promising bra. Warner's Easy Does It collection. Dig-free band, seamless stretch, wireless, lightly lined.
ReplyDeleteHappily all went well at the vet BUT cake and I needed good naps afterward. Thank you so much for the torture device (AKA bra) tip. I’m still on the hunt for one that doesn’t leave me searching for the ibuprofen after six hours.
