Monday, Monday

I'm cranky. Between the news and my stupid ongoing health issues, I RILLY need a fucking break.

In one of the books I’m reading now, there’s a question about a dangerous, all consuming substance that’s being put into the general population. The protagonist asks “wait a minute Juanita. What is this Snow Crash thing—is it a virus, a drug or a religion?” She replies “what’s the difference?

Yes. This.

Similarly, the Sociopathic Cult Leader in Chief has once again , pre-election achieved 24/7 free media coverage. Sure, it’s not exactly good coverage but the Orange Menace has downed his own Kool Aid. He clearly believes that all publicity is good, particularly when it’s free.

I’m sick of him. Hell’s bells, I was sick of him in the ‘80s when his ugly mug would, inexplicably, show up in the society columns of the papers. I recall thinking “who IS this homely frat boy and WHY is anyone publishing pics of him.

Instead, let’s talk a little about Uncle Joe Biden and a couple of his realistic plans to get this country back on track.

"Biden says climate change is “the greatest threat to our security,” and calls for a “revolution” to address it. He has released a national plan to reduce emissions and invest in new technology and infrastructure."

Read more about his plans here and here.

On Trump’s Plague, Biden has pledged to:

* Listen to science
* Ensure public health decisions are informed by public health professionals
* Restore trust, transparency, common purpose, and accountability to our government

"His plan calls for national emergency health-care mobilization that ramps up testing, makes it free, and provides transparency on the resulting data. It also promises to rapidly expand hospital capacity by quickly creating temporary hospitals, in part through the mobilization of Defense Department resources; establish a national corps of at least one hundred thousand contact tracers; and accelerate the creation of vaccines and other treatments. He would also mandate wearing masks in public." (source)

Sounds smart, well thought out and good for us as individuals AND as a country. You can read more about his specific plans here.

Biden wasn’t my first choice (BUT she’s now his running mate!) or second or third BUT he’s smart, experienced, empathetic and sane. I like Joe a LOT. His kindness, on top of all else, is mega appealing.

Just as important in fixing all the damage that Moscow Mitch, Prez Diseased Treasonweasel and the rest of the Fascists have wreaked, is flipping the Senate and holding the House.

Imagine how much more Obama could’ve accomplished had Democratic and other left leaning voters came out in force during his non Presidential race election years.

Just think and...

And a day or two late, five bucks short.

Fifteen weeks (thereabouts) till 21 January. Right about the time we were already in isolation for other stuff, about the time I first heard about the Trump Flu - I regret I was flippant about it back then - and began paying closer attention. 15 weeks till a possible change in administration, which right now I'm holding at 50/50. A year spent before even attempting something. Anything, by then may as well throw spaghetti at the wall.

My only endorsement this round has been Harris/Inslee. Close enough.

    1. Late but hopefully not too late. So much needs to be fixed. So much damage in such a short time. The only talent 45, Mitch and their Fascists have.

  2. MY "Oregonians for Biden" disappeared day two of the viral infection hoax of Dear Leader. Joe wasn't my first choice either, but he is a kind, decent, and smart man who understands how the government is supposed to work. He gets extra bonus points for Kamala, who gets bonus points for making Kavanaugh cry. Not sure if Biden can do four years, considering the stress of the job, but his running mate is fully capable of stepping in. I don't think she suffers fools lightly...

    1. They've got a LOT of work ahead of them. I believe they're up to the tasks. I need to have hope.
